About Me

Before I was an entrepreneur or even a college graduate, I was a young girl from a small Michigan town just trying to figure out my way. Back then, I decided college was the way to go because it seemed like that was the route the successful people I knew chose. 

So I went to college, ended up with a Master’s degree, and worked in the corporate world. However, before long, I realized I wasn’t really happy. Although I was passionate about what I studied in college and felt great about helping others, me and the corporate world didn’t mesh. 

I didn’t like asking for time off and being potentially told no. I felt unheard and uncared for when I was sick but was demanded to come in anyway because “they needed to see me.” I couldn’t stand having a cap on my income and settling for 1-2 percent annual raise increases. I felt angry when my grandmother was ill, and they wanted me to physically stay at work…even though I was willing to work virtually from the hospital she was at. 

I realized that what I needed was choices. I needed freedom. Time & financial freedom. 

So I became a corporate dropout, and I don’t regret it one bit.

My Goal With The Imperative VA

I truly want to advise and guide people on how to live life on their own terms. My virtual assistant agency has given me the ability to have real work/life balance. However, not without several bumps in the road. Fortunately, you don’t have to make the mistakes I made. 

As a Virtual Assistant Advisor, I want to share with you how I built this business and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. I’ll tell you what I wish I would’ve known at the beginning that I know now. 

I’d like The Imperative VA platform to be where you come to when you need advice on building a successful virtual assistant business or side hustle.
